Throughout history the world has seen many mighty empires fail. The last two empires that failed were the Christian Roman Empire and the Communist Soviet empire. In addition to the Faith Based Colonialists such as Britain, Spain, France, Portugal and Islamic caliphates. All Faith based colonialism also failed. Humans that have tried to lord it over the material nature have all been destroyed. The natural quality of Mother Nature is to resist all artificial conquerors. This has been told by ancient vedic sages from time immemorial.
The only thing invincible that is remaining today is Time or Kaala. That has never failed the test of time.
The human ego is so high that it thinks that it can conquer others either in the name of faith or welfare. Faith has been the biggest violator of human rights whether it was Christian crusades or Islamic loot. None of the places which are still retained by Faith Based colonizers have prospered till date. Every land has a native faith. That native faith has to be respected. Faith based colonizers destroyed that native faith by superimposing there’s. This itself was a sin in God’s eyes. As Bhagavad Gita says, oppression cannot result in spiritual upliftment.
The fallacy of development brought by faith based colonizers is the biggest fraud till date on humanity. India was the richest country until British Christian missionaries invaded it. Afghanistan and Parsi lands were the richest lands until Islam invaded them. Pakistan was the richest Hindu province of India until British gave that Hindu land to Islamic ideology.
Post World War II, the USA became the invincible leader in terms of military along with Soviet Union. The invincibility of Soviet Union was shattered in Afghanistan by the US and their allied forces with the help of Islamic Mujahideen. The USA may have finally met its nemesis in China. The world has seen many mighty empires come and go. But the human spirit remains. The individual ego and collective ego gets translated into a nation state ego. That is literally a false ego. It is needless to say that it itself is the cause of fall. There is a common saying ‘Pride Cometh before fall’. That pride comes from that false ego. It is just like that Frog which swells itself boasting of its chest until it bursts. The same thing is also going to happen to other states that are trying to become the new crowd of the world. Post World War II exceptionalism of the USA has been exposed during this COVID19. With that, also, China’s economic rise has been exposed too.
A virus that cannot be seen by an eye has exposed the invincibility of nation states with mightiest armies of the planet.
Endless and purposeless wars have emptied great nations in the past. Hate of others has caused great civilizations to simply vanish. Pride of one’s culture and language causes the great Parsi empire led by Yardeshir III of Persia to fail. The last Persian king was asked by his advisors to take help from Hindu warriors to protect themselves from Arabic looters, but he thought he didn’t need that help. The result was, his whole country was looted and converted to Islam. Afghanistan also fell to islam because of Pride. King Lalit Aditya II of Kashmir was asked to not give shelter to Syrian muslim family priest in his homeland by Maharaja Raj Dahir Singh of Sindh in 711 CE. They also did not heed to sane advice by other kings due to their own pride and the result was that he lost his entire kingdom including his own family members to invaders.
The world has seen that pride and false ego has destroyed large kingdoms and empires. Many business empires have been lost to this disease.
The artificial imposition on individuals and nations does not work. Nor greatness can be achieved by just boastfulness. Greatness is achieved through actions and not imposition. Artificial imposition is also called oppression. Oppression cannot sustain for long. Neither Christianity, Judaism nor Islam has been able to control or spiritually help people through oppression based on their books.
In that regard Buddhism and Hinduism have been the most pragmatic faiths. Their system of spiritual advancement is based on persuasion theory, logic, reasoning and empirical evidence through Dharma. Dharma is the origin and basis of many of the world’s religions. Dharma accentuates the good in a person by allowing a space to an individual.
Nation states that are guided by Dharma are peaceful and spread peace. It’s high time for nation states to adopt that principle. The time of national pride and exceptionalism to end for the sake of spiritual happiness of residents. Religious Hatred of ancient cultures that have survived thousands of years of invasion is simply unwarranted.
Idolatry is a science and not a mental imagination. Any hatred of idolatry defies the principle of respect of our ancestors. Any society that doesn’t respect their ancestors is doomed to fail.
Let’s work to remove this unfounded pride and adopt the principle of Dharma.
