India claims to be the world’s largest democracy in existence today. However, the ancient history from Mahabharat shows that the principle of Panchayat based rule was instituted during the time of Yudhishthir. Five able bodied and multi-skilled men were elected to lead and manage village affairs. Through this account we can surmise that democracy has been in practice from the last 5000 years. This system continued until the Islamic invasion when this system was destroyed in Gandhar and Panchnad by marauding Islamic looters and invaders. Freedom of speech, freedom to defend, freedom to education and FREE food continued until British came. British brought the church with them to civilize the Hindus.
They also observed that Hindus had superior culture to them and therefore they brought their laws and their colonial police structure to subjugate Hindus.
Their colonial police structure was euphemistically known as Indian Civil Service. In 1920, they had 310,000 police officers who governed 300 million Hindus and others spread across a large area today covered by India, Pakistan, Burma and Bangladesh. British crown ruled India between 1858 and 1947 for 89 years. In 1919, they separated Afghanistan from India. In 1947, they separated Pakistan, and Bangladesh from India. In 1948, Burma declared independence from British. Unlike India, Burma had some more self-respect when it did not become a member of the British Commonwealth. British, out of their utter hatred of Indians particularly Hindus, never gave respect to the sacrifice of millions of Indian soldiers in foreign lands. They were buried in unknown graves across their global campaigns.
In 1861, British introduced Indian Councils Act, which led to the establishment of the Imperial Police Service. Until 1920, no Indian was appointed Inspector General of the Imperial Police.
India’s current police continue to be governed by a colonial police law passed in 1861. The Indian Constitution makes policing a state subject and therefore the state governments have the responsibility to provide their communities with a police service. However, after independence, most have adopted the 1861 Act without change, while others have passed laws heavily based on the 1861 Act. Since independence of India from British Christian oppression, Indian society has still not become free of colonial principles of governance.
The British christian and Islamic ideals infiltrated the top independence leaders of India under the pretext of secularism to create the partition of India.
Secularism means separation of state from religious institutions. The organized religions fall into that category. There have been historical records of untold human rights abuses by Churches and Mosques against people not from their faith when they are in power. Secularism was meant for them.
Secularism as a principle cannot be applied to India as their Dharmic culture is naturally logical and very broad to absorb all types of faith. For example, the 57 Islamic states don’t protect the rights of non-Muslim minorities in their states. Bangladesh and Pakistan have been the worst violators of human rights against their Hindu minorities. Such states should be internationally isolated.
A separate homeland for Hindus must be carved out of those states to protect them from persecution in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Even in India, a Hindu country, Hindus have been severely persecuted by successive Hindu governments under the garb of secularism. Their temples are controlled by the government and their voices severely curtailed in the name of secularism. Their Hindu sacred scriptures have not been preserved by democracy. One of their Sikh Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh famously remarked, ‘Muslims have the first right on India’s resources’. Their ministry of culture doesn’t protect or preserve historical artifacts as they should in the name of secularism.
The rich history of India cannot and should not be ignored in the name of secularism. Successive Indian Governments have used secularism to curtail the religious, expressive and cultural freedom of Hindus.
Muslims and Christians have enjoyed their freedom at the cost of Hindus in India. They get more benefits from the state as compared to Hindus. In western countries the Church defines the ideology of the state. In Islamic countries, Mosque defines the identity of the state. However, in India Hindu temples have been shackled by the state. Indira Gandhi was responsible for introducing the word secularism in Indian constitution through the 42nd amendment in 1976. The 42nd Amendment also amended Preamble and changed the description of India from “sovereign democratic republic” to a “sovereign, socialist secular democratic republic”. India’s current government must completely revert back all provisions of this draconian 42nd amendment. Secularism is only meant for Christian and Islamic countries where church and mosque engaged in severe human rights violations.
India must reject the changes to the preamble to the constitution made by Indira Gandhi in 1976. Indian constitution preamble should revert back to the one made by B R Ambedkar in 1949.
In addition, Dharma should become the ideology of the government of India. India should fight to protect dharma in its neighborhood and globally if it is required. The purpose of Indian Armed Forces should be to protect Dharma. India a “Sovereign, Democratic and Dharmic” republic sounds way better. Also like all democratic countries, India should have a state religion. Democracy and secularism are disconnected topics. Democracy is a function of governance while secularism is a principle of separation of state and religion.
Dharma is common sense, rational and not dogmatic. Organized religion is fanaticism and communalism. Dharma and Religion cannot be equated at all. Dharma is based on righteousness for all. Religion is for a community.
India is a dharmic country, and it should remain one. Democracy and Dharma are intertwined and a great combination. Dharma means truth & justice. Democracy means the government of the people, for the people and by the people. Dharma is and should be the new ideology behind governance for all governments of the world, not just India. That should ideally be the responsibility of Indian government.
If Hindus don’t act decisively now, they will be destined to land up in museums.
Secularism is used against them to completely destroy their identity, culture and their future. Hindus should completely reject Secularism and adopt Dharma. Living by dharma, protecting dharma and propagating dharma should be their mission of a new India.
Is India ready? Are Hindus ready? Will Indian Politicians listen?
