Nepal has always been an independent Hindu country. Nepal was officially a Hindu Kingdom until recently, and Shiva was considered the guardian deity of the country. In 2015, they declared themselves a Secular republic. Nepal is a small country and as per 1960 order of King Mahendra, the panchayat system is most suitable for that country. However, In the last general elections, the Nepali Communist Party emerged as the third largest party, Nepali Congress is the largest and Janata Samajbadi Party as the third party representing Hinduism.

It is remarkable that Muslims from Pakistan and Bangladesh have been the largest growing population in Nepal today. Just in the last 10 years they have reached 4.4% of the total population. The Christian missionary activity in Nepal has also increased a lot today. Today Christians make upto 1.4% of the total population.

The violent communist Maoist movement is discreetly funded by China to weaken India. The Islamist movement is funded from Qatar and Saudi Arabia to demographically alter the population equations in Nepal. India has been a mute spectator to all this for unknown reasons. Nepal and India enjoyed open borders through centuries or probably millennia. The ancient texts always have treated Nepali and Hindus of India as intrinsically connected through common culture, scriptures and warrior traditions. The Pashupatinath temple is the strongest common cultural bond between Nepal and India today.

During the time of Chandragupta Maurya also, Nepali Kings fought with the armies of Chandra Gupta against the invasion of Yavan kings.

Post independence India has always maintained and emphasized good relations with Nepal until Nepal was a Hindu Kingdom. With democracy flourishing in Nepal, the onset of communist and socialist ideology has crept into the political leadership of Nepal. Their popular leaders of Nepal have been influenced by repressive communist ideology that has failed globally. The leftist-communist ideology detests the spiritual nature of Nepal. Their spiritual ideologies are now gradually being destroyed right from their school systems. Nowadays, Nepalis are being taught that their culture is based on mythology and they are backward because of their belief system. The madhes movement is nothing but a movement for destruction of Nepal as a nation.

How can a madhes movement consider islamic believers as natives? Most of the Islamic believers have come from Pakistan and Bangladesh. There are other dangerous precedents also being set in Nepal. Secularism is only expected of Hindus? Can Christians or Muslims in Nepal be secular? Every Nepali must ask this question.

Can Maoist violence be accepted as mainstream? How can blackmail via threat of violence become a mainstream ideology? The other aspects in adopting a constitution have been filled with problems. The provincial boundaries haven’t been clearly articulated. This has led to serious conflicts within the country. British East India company in 1816 had issued a border line between India and Nepal, which was incorrect to a large extent. India and Nepal may be two names but culturally the same country. The British debauchery had separated Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Burma through whimsical boundary lines. Durand Line, Macmohan line and other lines were created to balkanize India. While British did not find any economic reason to conquer Nepal, they made it a point that trade to Nepal is controlled through Kolkata.

Communism and Socialism have made all countries poorer. Venezuela is a classical example of poverty induced via socialism.

Post Independence India, continued on the British model of governance. Successive Indian National Congress governments’ foreign policy did mistreat Nepal as their suzerainty. However, the Indian Government led by BJP has consistently provided support to Nepal at both federal and state levels.

The recent land dispute between Nepal and India is due to failed Colonial British cartographers. I am sure the two nations will resolve that in a mutually respectful way. Nepal should work with India to get more Free Trade zones access to approach the world for it’s products.

Nepal has always been a hindu country and must remain so. The Christian and Muslim faith based invasion of Nepal must be discouraged by all in Nepal. Hindus have become second class citizens in the name of secularism in India. Nepal should learn from India’s experience and remove the word secular from it’s constitution.

Secularism in India is known more for it’s hatred for everything Hindu than anything else. Does Nepal want to be in the same situation?
