Before we begin to understand the term western we need to understand some biblical history. History has to be understood with a rather independent mind instead of looking through the prism of American or European universities which have justified biblical colonialism in the name of development.
Rest of the world doesn’t understand that all speeches on human rights by the abarahamic west are a lip service meant to appeal to their own moral compass. By preaching to self about biblical morality, the west has convinced itself to be the moral leader of human rights and democracy in the world.
The west refers to the grouping of predominantly Christian colonial countries who colonized the whole world in the name of their Christianism faith. The history is covered in detail in my book – Gold, Glory & God.
The west or the first world countries refer to themselves as the protectors of global christian human rights. However, a careful study of their internal records reveal an alarming story of rights abuses which no agency in their internal society ever admits because of fear of international embarrassment. The human rights narrative built on biblical philosophy is extremely discriminative and laughable to say the least. In the words of Landover Baptist Creation Scientist, Dr. Jonathan Edwards, “The absence of either salvation or condemnation for women finds extensive support in the Word of God.” He quotes biblical references, “Jesus said that the sole reason God created women in the first place was to provide company and service to men (1 Corinthians 11:9), God determined that men would be lonely living alone, so he created women purely to keep men company and serve their needs (Genesis 2:18-22).”
Are women human rights equal to men in Biblical theosophy? The answer to that question will be a resounding ‘No’.
The biblical thought process has been the basis behind race based discrimination all over the world. The democracy and human rights based on biblical thought process is discriminative for the rest of the non-Christian society.
The fact that biblical proponents have attacked Sanatana Dharma on Casteism shows their ideological hypocrisy. Those attacks have been largely emotional but are done with a sinister motive to demean Hindus. By doing so they are trying to protect their flock from moving over to Sanatana Dharma.
Let’s examine the tenets of Sanatana Dharma on Human Rights.
- Women, Men and/or any other gender even including all other species of life are considered equal as per Bhagavad Gita (the most sacred conversation of Bhagavan and Arjun in Mahabharat)
- Every human has an equal right to perform Karma or action. You can refer to my book on karma in this link. Read
- There is no European style caste system in Sanatana Dharma. There is no classification of humans based on birth. Every human can directly approach Bhagavan by chanting His names.
- There is a freedom to choose any path of spiritual advancement such as Brahman, Parmatma and Bhagavan
- There is a Freedom to choose from any multitude of spiritual paths for moksha.
The followers of Sanatana Dharma have never practiced discrimination against any human based on their birth or community.
The individual cases highlighted by the western propagandists have been found to be grossly exaggerated for the sole purpose of maligning the followers of Sanatana Dharma.
If those individual cases are investigated, one will find that those restrictions were placed because of constant attacks by the Abrahamism cult followers.
The philosophy of Karma automatically makes the followers of Sanatana Dharma as the foremost protectors of Human Rights.
The biblical democracy proponents have often ignored the concept of humanity outside of their faith system. The constant demand by the west to comply with their biblical human rights standard through democracy is often leveraged through the threat of sanctions imposed through their financial systems. The UN, and many other international forums are controlled by them to leverage compliance.
One would hope that as the west gradually becomes more multicultural with multiple faiths, then this biblical zeal to impose their values on others would stop. That has not occurred nor will this ever occur in future. Most of the religious minorities in the west have no say in diplomacy or state policies.
The systems are designed to upkeep biblical narrative through academic scholarly consensus. Unless someone comes through biblical education system, they cannot be put into any important decision-making position. Most Hindu studies departments in the USA and Europe are dominated by Christian pastors.
The philosophy of Hindus is taught in a way so as to show its inferiority to imagined biblical superiority.
The biggest attacks against Hindus in the western biblical pedagogy has been – ‘Hindus have a caste system’. Obviously, this is a gross misrepresentation of Bhagavad Gita. Bhagavad Gita talks about natural occupations existing in the whole humanity such as Teachers, Protectors, Business Community and the Middle Class. These occupations are divided based on natural qualities and accompanying karma. The English word Caste is derived from Portuguese class system.
Bhagavad Gita is the only scripture that speaks to the whole humanity on the basis of soul.
That soul is universal and indestructible is one of the principal lessons from Bhagavad Gita. Bhagavad Gita is the only book that emphatically proclaims the universal principle of equality ‘panditah sama darshinah’ meaning that a learned person sees everyone equal.
India or any other nation that proclaims and follows Bhagavad Gita as their national thought can only claim to be a champion of Human Rights.
