Every community in the world is united around a scripture, ideology or culture. Muslims claim to follow many versions of the Quran. Christians or Catholics claim to follow the New Testament in many different versions. Leftists follow Marxism and also French philosophies. The communists follow Stalin and other communist literatures. The proponents of democracy follow the constitution of their respective countries. The atheists follow their own literature and also they follow secularism. The Buddhists follow many literatures centered around Dharma. Dharma means a principle of righteousness as explained in Vedic literature. Jains follow Agama literature. Sikhs follow Guru Granth Sahib. Jews claim to follow the Old Testament. And many other native cultures across the world follow Mother Nature.
However, Hindus don’t seem to be united around anything. Is that true?
What do Hindus follow? Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma is the best documented religious system in the world. All Vedic literature commonly define Hinduism. Purana, Vedas, Mahabharata and Ramayana are the major source of multitude of Vedic faiths of Hindus. From Vedas have come Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism, and many other faith systems in the world. Due to political propaganda, nowadays, it has become a fashion to separate all these faiths from their origins. Disconnecting any of the faiths from their origins renders those faiths incomplete. For example, it is a well known documented fact of History that Guru Nanak Dev accepted his education from Nityanand Prabhu of Gaur Nitai fame. Guru Nanakdev’s father Kalu Mehta was a well known scholar of Vedic literature. Jainism regards Rishabh Dev as its founder who is an incarnation of Vishnu as mentioned in Bhagavat Purana. Bhagavad Gita is a summary of all Vedic knowledge summarized in a concise version within Mahabharata. For most followers of Vedas, just one book Bhagavad Gita is enough to understand the entire Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism as it is colloquially called.
Nowadays, due to lots of propaganda through social media and Faith Based conversions directed against Hindus especially, Hindus have begun to doubt their own scriptures.
Sometimes, Hindus are told by atheists / communists / Abrahamic-missionaries to not keep Mahabharata in their homes because it brings quarrels within their homes. As per Mahabharata itself, anyone who studies Mahabharata regularly, gets unlimited wealth, fame and peace in their lives. Another mis-propaganda told to Hindus is that their Vedic literature has no scientific basis. Yoga, Ayurveda, Vegetarianism, Mathematics, Astronomy, Vastu, Astrology, Chemistry, Architecture, Music, Arts, Metaphysics, Instrumentation and many other sciences are explained only in Vedic literature. As compared to Vedic literature, all other Abrahamic literature just look like dogmas. No other Abrahamic literature has ever been scientifically evaluated due to fear of violence. Christians and Muslims have regularly persecuted people who even attempted to scientifically, archeologically or astronomically validate their books.
With so much scientific information being present in Vedic literature, then, why do Hindus appear to be always weak in defending their faith? Why do Hindus appear disunited in defending their faith? Why do Hindus appear ashamed to proudly represent their scientific faith?
The answer to all above questions is just one: Hindus try to learn their faith & culture from the very people who are actually campaigning against them. Hindus seek validation of their faith from others instead of themselves becoming an ambassador of their own Vedic knowledge.
Hindus need to understand that colonial times are over. Blaming colonial powers for deterioration of their faith even though a fact is just not enough.
This is the time for Hindus to go deep into their own Vedic scriptures and proudly represent themselves globally. Social Media is well known to be the source of disinformation and mis-propaganda against Vedic knowledge. It can never be taken as an authoritative source for Vedic information. Quora, Reddit and Wikipedia are some of the biggest sources of Mythology or Fake information against Hindus and Vedic scriptures. Hindus need to reject their narrative & then counter their mis-propaganda through real Vedic knowledge which is the mission of Sattology movement. Then only will the entire Hindu community be united on the strength of Vedic knowledge. That unity will result in a determined purpose to defend their faith & culture.
That unity and resolute purpose will also remove the identity crisis within the Hindu community.
