The history of the world is written by Faith Based Colonialists. Just like the Spanish conquest of Americas after Columbus’s discovery of South America, eradicated the entire history of South America. As if, South America had no history before Spaniards went to civilize them. The entire history of Spanish invasion of Americas begins in 1492 when an Italian, Christopher Columbus, sponsored by Spaniards ran aground at Cat Island in Bahamas. It was the beginning of the largest genocide of natives the world has ever seen. By 1520, all natives of Lucayan were either sent back to Spain as slaves or were altogether massacred. Out of 40,000 residents of that tribe many of them were simply untraceable. Many of their ancient places of worship were razed to the ground and large magnificent churches made on top of them. This place which Columbus conquered was renamed as San Salvador. This is how the Spanish conquest of Americas began.
In three voyages of Christopher Columbus, he reached Cuba, Hispaniola and Puerto Rico. Later he reached the South American Coast. The massacre of natives led to more natives being brought from other nearby territories to come to the Bahamas so that they could be sent as slaves to Spain.
In the succeeding three centuries most of South America, parts of North America and almost all Central American came under the control of these Spanish Faith Based colonialists. Almost 80% of natives were exterminated by this invasion. Local faiths were christianized and their temples destroyed completely. Their native religions were collectively addressed as ‘mythology’. Even today this phenomena is continuing under the pretext of ‘civilizing’ the natives. The United Nations Genocide Convention, which was established in 1948, defines genocide as “acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such” including the killing of its members, causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group, deliberately imposing living conditions that seek to “bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part”, preventing births, or forcibly transferring children out of the group to another group.
The Colombian Exchange phenomena of inter racial mixing to create a mixed European and South American race led to widespread diseases leading to genocide of much more than 8 million natives and countless more whose numbers are not revealed (these are official statistics).
The rough estimates over the entire North American and South American crusades on the pretext of civilizing natives will run into the range of 100-200 million natives. So much so that natives moved into deep Amazon forests to save themselves. The current Brazilian Government, in the last few years have made laws to protect native culture and retain native civilizational history with severe opposition from Portuguese Church. Most of the historical artifacts of ancient Inca and Mayan civilization are kept in the museums of Brazil or in many cases completely destroyed. The ancient Mayan literatures were burnt to ashes so that no future generation will ever know about them.
The large monuments that could not be destroyed were canonized to purify them of ‘evil’ influences.
If anyone travels across South America, they will notice lavish Spanish Churches on the same place as the native temples with absolutely no recognition of the native culture they replaced. Incas, Aztecs and Mayan history is termed as mythology and is considered heretic by the local churches. A classical example is the Church of the Lady of Guadalupe that replaced the Aztec Goddess Tonantzin is now the miraculous church of Mexico. A mysterious Juan Diego personality was conceived by the church to break the faith of natives on Goddess Tonantzin (Goddess of Earth).
The natives were demonized and anyone that opposed the story of miracles met with the opposition of church and other Spanish faith leaders. This is called inculturation which many authors have written about.
The native culture of India is Sanatana Dharma based on Vedic literatures. The sophisticated religious traditions of India have maintained their culture despite ideological and physical attacks of invaders. That credit is well deserved by all Hindus.
In India, the same strategies are used by foreign professional evangelists to ultimately put Hinduism in a museum. Just like in Vatican museums, you will find the extensive collection of pre-Christian history artifacts for display including some vedic ones.
The utter disdain towards the ancient history of conquered lands is in wide display. I have only presented a glimpse of what has happened in the past according to the versions of conquerors only. Just imagine, what is the story of the people who have been conquered. That version was not even written or rather allowed to be written. The history of the world needs to be known as it is to learn from it.
Will Hindus wake up and learn? Will Hindus act? This will be seen from their actions to proactively protect their ancient heritage.
Four Steps for protecting Ancient Vedic History:
The first step has to be protecting and promoting local languages. The second step will be to stop the inculturation strategies of Faith Based Colonists. The third will be to teach all Hindus about their glorious past written from the perspective of defenders. The fourth has to be spiritualizing Hindu society as per their vedic cultures.
History is a teacher, but our Karma creates a new destiny.
